Improver calligraphy course with Ink and Flow
14th April - 5th May 2026

Course description

Join Kirstie from Ink and Flow for a 4 week improver level calligraphy course designed to help you move forward on your calligraphy journey with increased confidence and creativity!

Each session will be held via zoom and will be fun & friendly leaving you inspired and motivated to practice in your own time ahead of the next session!

Course structure
The course is broken down into 4 workshops detailed below

Tuesday 14th April 7 - 9pm
How to develop your own letterforms & style plus a recap on joining
Let the creative calligraphy fun begin! In this first workshop, Kirstie will show you various ways to create each letter which will help you find your own individual interpretation and style of your letters. She will also cover some joining tips and help you tackle any tricky transitions you may be struggling with in your practice.

Tuesday 21st April 7 - 9pm
Flourishing
Kirstie will show you some creative ways you can start to add flourishes to your letterforms and words.

Tuesday 28th April 7 - 9pm
Acrylic Decorations and coloured inks
In this workshop you will have fun with writing on a flat acrylic decoration using a gold paint pen provided in your kit. Writing on a new surface can be tricky to master so Kirstie will guide you along the way so that you feel confident and happy with your creations!
For the coloured ink section, you will need to provide your own, Kirstie will send guidance on which is best to use ahead of the session.

Tuesday 5th April 7 - 9pm
Envelope designs & envelope liners
You will have fun with learning how to address your envelopes in a creative and beautiful way with your calligraphy. Kirstie will also show you how to add unique envelope liners to add that extra wow factor to your post

What’s included?

If booking with a kit, the below will be included and shipped out ahead of the session

Improver kit

• 3 x blank envelopes varied colours with paper to line them with

• Worksheets to guide you

• 3 x acrylic flat decorations

• 1 x gold marker pen

  Please supply your own paper, pen holder, nibs, and a coloured ink of choice

You can also book without a kit if you prefer. On receipt of booking Kirstie will email you with her suggested supplier list for the course essentials. You will receive digital worksheets.

1-2-1 feedback
Throughout the course, Kirstie will be on hand via the private facebook group (or via email if you don’t have facebook) to answer any questions you may have. There will also be plenty of opportunity in each session to ask questions.

Access to a private facebook group with fellow students and the opportunity to share images of your work and of course ask Kirstie questions as you move through the course

• Course tickets are non-refundable. If you can no longer attend, you can move to another course.

• The course is recorded so if you miss one of the live sessions, you can catch up via the recording in your own time. Each sessions recording will be emailed over the following day.
